Privacy Policy

General Information

HolisTech is committed to protecting the privacy of our End Users.  HolisTech’s Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from our End Users and our practices for collecting, maintaining, using, and disclosing such information.  This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect: (a) on our Website (www.holistech.net), (b) in the electronic messages between the End User and our Website, and (c) within the Training Software.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to information acquired by HolisTech offline or through third-party sources, including those sites that may be hyperlinked within our Website or Training Software.

Information We May Collect and its Purpose

Much of the information we request is completely optional on the part of the End User and in many instances this information will not even be requested.  If collected, this information will be stored on HolisTech’s secure servers and used for basic purposes such as allowing us to carry out our contractual obligations or communicating with our customers.  HolisTech may collect the following information from the End User:

  • Full legal name: collected in order to generate certificates of completion and for registration purposes

  • Address:  may be used to mail a certificate of completion if requested or to send other correspondences

  • Email address: used as a method of correspondence or as a username

  • Login credentials:  this includes username and password (highly encrypted) and is stored in the Training Software’s database in order for the End User to log in.

  • Login Statistics:  includes the amount of time the End User is logged in, time spent in various courses, and number of attempts prior to passing.  This information is stored in order to assist HolisTech in assessing the difficulty level of courses.  It may also be analyzed by HolisTech’s clients if the End Users are employed by such clients for purposes of determining who has passed/taken the course. HolisTech also collects IP addresses of web browsers using the Website and the Training Software for the purposes of ensuring that one user account is not accessed from multiple simultaneous locations.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data which a website stores on the End User’s computer’s hard drive (if your web browser permits).  HolisTech uses session identifier cookies for the purpose of keeping the End User’s session current while the End User is actively logged into the Training Software.

Opting Out

In the event that HolisTech asks the End User to provide personal information as part of the registration process or otherwise, it will be clear which fields are required and which the End User can opt-out of providing.

Data Security

Access to the Training Software by the End User is either (a) available through a password and unique username selected by the End User or (b) facilitated by a linkage to a Central Authentication Service.  All passwords stored by HolisTech are encrypted.  We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone, that you create your password using a combination of letters and numbers, that you choose a password that you do not use on any other site, and that you use a secure web browser.  If you share a computer with anyone, you should always log out before leaving to prevent access to your information.

Disclosure of Your Information

HolisTech will not transfer or disclose End User information to any third-party entities unless those entities are acting as an agent on behalf of HolisTech or in cases such that HolisTech is contracted with a third-party entity that has purchased multiple course enrollments for the purposes of training its staff, workforce, or student population and the End User is affiliated with said third-party entity.  HolisTech will not sell any End User information to anyone.
